Blacksmithing Experience for Young People
This activity is open to young people over 7, accompanied by an adult and the child is of a sensible disposition. The child is dressed in a leather apron, safety glasses, glooves, scarf and cap. The young person works with the Blacksmith and creates a coat hook. The experience last’s 20mins. Once the item is complete the young person is able to take it home.
We recommend young person doesn’t wear any flammable clothes and has stout shoes.
The experience is available when we are open on a Wednesday and Friday (10 till 14.00) and every Sunday April to Oct (11 till 3), Winter Opening Nov to March only first Sunday of the month.
1) We can provide this experience for groups but contact the Forge
