Does Saracens Head School hold a link to the Golden Fleece?

This tablet is let into the end wall of Saracens Head Village Hall. It is dated 1876 and was put there by the school board. The tablet depicts the Golden Fleece which goes back to Duke Philip the Good, Duchy of Burgundy in 1430.
Does anybody know the connection?

A historian friend of mine has had a stab at this one. He says
“…Margaret, sister of Edward IV, was the wife of Charles the Bold Duke of Burgundy, and I assume her father gave her a dowry. Logically, because the Yorkists’ power-base was the north of England, part of the dowry could well have been in Lincolnshire. More than that I cannot say.”
    Has anyone a better idea???
